fUTURE OF eDUCATION

Providing a quality education for our children is fundamental to our continued prosperity. Yet we are leaving so many kids behind. Existing racial and socio-economic inequities have only increased as COVID has kept kids out of the classroom. We need to make better use of technology and creative content delivery so that teachers and parents have more options to help students learn in ways that work for them. But technology and content are only part of the picture. We need a holistic model.

Client Deloitte Digital Hackathon | Role Creative Direction, UX, UI

After surveying and interviewing students, teachers, and parents about their experience with distance learning, we imagined a new school ecosystem that connects resources and facilitates equitable learning.

In this ecosystem, we designed the major digital touch points. Single platforms for teachers, students, and parents reduce the multiple apps and online tools that currently overwhelm the virtual learning experience.

Here you’ll see some of those examples, like the learning style assessment taken before the start of the school year that is used to place students in their ideal virtual learning environment.

SCHOOL SUPPLIES FOR EVERY LESSON

Traditional lab kits can be replaced by a camera and Augmented Reality Blocks. When placed in front of a camera, the materials that a student would need for any hands-on learning lesson are made available on the blocks.

This eliminates the expensive costs of individual lab kits for every student since they are versatile for any lesson from kindergarten to highschool.

Here we developed an AR lab to show how these blocks would work during a lesson about the properties of electric circuits.
