Massage Envy

With over 1000 locations nationwide, Massage Envy needed an app for customers to easily schedule appointments and match them with therapists who could best serve their unique needs.

When setting up the first appointment, the user takes a quick survey to specify preferences like pressure level and focus areas. After their initial massage, customers can access appointment history and stored preferences so they can manage their future appointments and therapist relationship.

Digital Rebrand

While working on the app, Massage Envy was undergoing a total rebrand. We referenced the predominately print design brand work and translated it into a digital design system. Bright blocks of color and engaging interactions became part of the language used for the consumer app, website, and therapist + administrative iPad apps.

We worked with our developers to document all the styles and components in an attractive library so the client and future project developers could easily grab code and understand the digital brand system.

making real improvements

Launching the app brought many improvements for the customers and staff. We were able to improve employee efficiency by reducing time spent documenting customer data from hours to 5 minutes a day.

With a fresh design and new booking features, we created a new revenue channel bringing in over $100K in revenue per day within the first six months of launch. On top of that we boosted their rating from 1 star to 4.7 stars on the App Store.
